King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan visit Ottawa (Nov 1981)

During a familiarization visit to the Middle East from the UN, I drove from Lebanon and Syria to Jordan in August 1996. Accompanied by the Middle East desk officer at our UN Permanent Mission, Tamara Mawhinney, we drove to Amman from Damascus, and thence into Israel across the Allenby bridge.
