A Brief Visit to Cape Town en route from Namibia (November 1989)
Following attendance at the 12th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Durban, where we we campaigned for Canada’s election to the Security Council, the Australian Ambassador to the UN, Penny Wensley, her husband, Stewart, David Angell and I drove, via the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Park, across the velt to Johannesburg (Sept 1998)
The Cape and Cape Town (February 2002), where I chaired a meeting of the Africa Personal Representatives of G8 leaders preparing the Africa Action Plan to be agreed at the Kananaskis G8 Summit in June 2002
