Israel (July 1996)

On a familiarization visit to the Middle East from the UN, accompanied by the Middle East desk officer at our UN Permanent Mission, Tamara Mawhinney, after visiting Lebanon and Syria, we crossed the Allenby bridge from Jordan into Israel.
