The Luxor visit ended with a son-et lumiere spectacle attended by Boutros Boutros Ghali, then the junior Egyptian Foreign Minister
Following visits to Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Israel, I concluded my tour of the Middle East with a visit to the Sinai and the MFO, and Cairo in August 1996
